1972 Cutlass S for Sale
So I can say I am not lying to my wife, I am reluctantly posting my 1972 Cutlass S up for sale. Please see my photo album for the photos. The ONLY reason I am putting the car up for sale is I'm probably going to lose my (free) storage fairly soon and I'm done with paying $150-$200 a month to store a car. One has to go so this one's the odd car out. It's a great driver, A/C works but needs a charge, AM/FM stereo, 8 track all work. I added on NOS sway bar & NOS Boxed control arms 2 years ago. Gardner W-31 style exhaust last year, that made a nice difference. 4 wheel power drum brakes, 2bbl. It was restored prior to my buying it, but thankfully the interior was left original. I guess you could say I turned a show car into a driver, Jay Leno style. Bench seat car. It took a 2nd Junior award at last year's AACA Regional Meet at Hershey, PA & the judges told me it would have gotten a first if I had correct tires (I got dinged 20 points for that).
Again, I hate to sell it and I am looking for ways to get out of doing it, but I just can't keep them all. $13,500 and worth it for sure. You will get the original steel wheels and volcano caps, original steering wheel, original AM radio (amp blown) and original a/c valence.
I'd prefer a P.M., thanks. As you all can tell I'm not too happy about doing this. In fact if someone out there would like to buy a really, really nice rallye green 6 cylinder 1969 Camaro instead, not sure, for the right price maybe you can pry that from my wife and then I get to keep my Cutlass.

EXCELLENT SPOT, Allan.......upon realizing I forgot to change them back to the originals (j-u-s-t) before judging, I ran over to the judges and showed them the right ones I had but they advised they didn't knock me for them anyway.
Excellent observation on your point!
I earned back the points (and then some) I lost with incorrect tires by getting in the right spark plugs and the right hose clamps. Man do I hate those Wittek clamps, they are coming back off the first chance I get.
My wife found out about this ad. So, she now tells me that if I sell this car I can convert the 69 Camaro back to a manual which it originally was (it was converted to an automatic in the mid-80's). It originally was a 3 on the tree but that's not gonna happen, at least while we own it. All the linkage is still there and the disconnected clutch pedal still lurks under the floor mat. So I'm a 3 speed Saginaw, bellhousing, clutch, pressure plate and a Hurst shifter away from getting this done. I've got a fork so I'll need a throwout bearing as well. If anyone knows someone who's got this stuff for sale, I'm all ears.
This is a game changer, perhaps I'll be more serious about selling the Cutlass now. MAYBE.

THis car's no longer for sale. That 4 barrel carb intake I bought just looks too inviting so I'm up for the project. Let the good times roll! I'm sure I'll get better gas mileage with those smaller primaries once it's on there
