1981 Cutlass Calais FS.
Hey guys/gals. Selling my 81 Olds Cutlass Calais. Wanted to post it on an Olds site so hopefully an Olds enthusiast can buy it and take care of it. Here are the details:
LOCATION: Dixon, IL
PRICE: $2900 obo
My dad bought this car new in 1981 and the car has been in the same family for the past 34 years. Used to be a diesel but blew a head gasket at about 50k miles. It now has a 307 olds out out mid-80s delta 88. The motor probably has 80k on it and the car about 120k. The car ran and drove well until I put it in storage about 10 years ago. Recently, my dad freshened it up and drove it for a few months, including a 2 hour drive from the suburbs of chicago to Dixon (where it is stored now). The car never failed me but it does leak and burn oil. Before repaint, the entire bottom of the body was sanded and coated with POR15. There were a couple small spots filled behind the rear wheels and a couple small patches put in the floors (one in the trunk, one under the rear seat).
