For Sale: 1964 Oldsmobile F85
Owner history since new, I am the 3rd owner. 100% original body and interior. Factory Pacific Mist car with original black interior. One outside repaint in 2000. Was 330, 2-spd auto. Now 1970 350 rocket, 350 turbo Olds auto. Original engine and tranny are available. No rust ever, as clean underneath as I have ever saw. Car was sold new at *** Oldsmobile in Knoxville, TN and stayed in the south until I recently moved to Illinois. Only reason I'm listing it is I want a four-speed car and I will not cut this one up to change it. Car has working factory tach, etc... Head turner and shows very well. I would not hesitate to drive this on a 500 mile trip. Car has 3:08 open rear, power steering and upgraded front disc brakes. Feel free to call with questions... Clear title in my name. I have put about 5000 miles on it and looking for a 4-speed trade. Thanks...

Yeah, by a factor of two... Highest completed auction within the last two years was $17K for a loaded 64 convertible. Significantly less for a Holiday Coupe.
Heck, even NADA Guides says that's high for an excellent condition car.

Good looking Olds. If you really like your car there's no valid reason not to do a 4spd conversion. After all the engine and transmission have been changed already. From the factory if it was a 4spd car it would have had a hole cut in the floorboard just like you can do. Gather all the factory type parts and you can make a very clean conversion

I know you're not a big fan of using guides like that for comparison. I tried using that Old Collector Car one you posted recently to see what they say about this, but they have nothing listed that matches a 64 2dr f85.

Then you're doing something wrong. I entered 1964 F-85 and got 118 auctions. The $17K convertible I mentioned above was one of those. The average high was about $13K, which is why I said that $25K was about twice market.

Ok, I got it figured out now. When I filled in their info lines I also specified '2 door coupe' on the VIN and Keywords section. That yielded only 2 results and one was a Jetstar 88. I left it blank this time around and found the 118 auctions you mentioned. Quite a range in pricing and quality. Most of them appear to be verts, but even the 'show quality' cars weren't bringing big $$.
