I am not so sure that may not have been a flower car originally. It is pretty tired but restorable.

All I know is what I have seen on different websites. I have never actually seen one. I think they were used in larger cities like New York. They It seems like most of them were Cadillacs. I suspect that is what this was. It would make a neat vehicle. Here is a link:

Interesting...

I like it for 2200 maybe.
Could be way cool.

If a flower car, better still.
More $ though. If, yes, then 45?
If Richard Rawlings gets hold of it look out.
Small block Cheb and a clear...

Thanks for the post Dane.
When are the Hill Country Rockets
going to get together? That sounds
like a good name for a club...

The ONLY guy I know who might have the
time and ENERGY to maybe pull it off would
be Burnet's favorite's Son... He has a spectacular
rebodied W-30. And I know we could help some.
Happy Friday to ya Dave.

At first sight I had suspected the same thing, but after looking the roofline I think it is just a hacked 98. I figured someone would post the link here eventually!

Funk, I am sticking with flower car. I looked at pictures of some of the old ones which were Cadillacs but the roof looked very similar. That roof doesn't look like one that came off a pickup. I am not sure this guy knows what he has. In either event he is priced about $2,000 too high. It could really be cool. Let's just hope Gas Monkey doesn't get his hands on it.

Perhaps you are right, I just think that the roof line is disproportionate to the rest of the body. I will be in Azle tomorrow, I'll keep my eyes open.

You know... it's the kinda car that grows on you after looking at it a few times. It may be a Flower Car.

Eric:

It would look good sitting out in front of the Hilton in Granbury. It would be a fun car but expensive to do. It is pretty tired.

What as a planter? We'll see if it sells, maybe at a lesser price it would make an interesting toy.

Comet Coach Company, which built professional cars on Oldsmobile chassis in the 50's apparently only built three flower cars. All three were '57's, so I don't believe that this '52 is a factory conversion.

Meteor Coach built exclusively on Cadillac chassis after 1946.

Eric:

Not as a planter. I was talking about in the recent Zone Show. Remember it.

Man I slept since then.

Your right but they actually went strictly with Cadillac frames in the 40's as I just found out.

I believe the roof section is original to the Olds 2dr hdtp, just shortened and moved forward.

Hey Adam, just got back in town from a few days R&R with the Ms. and saw your post. I'm ready for a HCR (great name btw) meet anytime with a little notice. Anything going on over the Memorial Day Weekend?

The Flower Car project looks like it could be fun but I HAVE to make some room before draggin' any more strays home

Welcome back Dave.
Did you bring the 67
home with you?

Not much going on for
the weekend. A little BBQ
with the kids and grandkids.
Are you going to the Houston show?

Unless I get side tracked the '66 SS is next in line to get back on the road...then maybe another Olds.

Probably not gonna make Houston this time. We have some family events for the weekend but I may try to squeeze this event (link below) in on Saturday afternoon; and it's close to Marble Falls as well! Free Blue Bell, fruit cobbler, live Bluegrass music, car show WITH a cruise... I'm in

Another thought if it isn't a flower car. GM built some "Ute" style vehicles here in the states, most notably in the Chevrolet line. Any thoughts?
