79 Olds cutlass calais

Time to part with my Olds. It's a 79 Cutlass Calais Cp. It hast the Hurst Olds Grill, tinted glass T-tops, rally cluster and floor shifter. It spent 5 years sitting in storage on the edge of a cornfield, so the mice really did a number on the interior. It has old rocket mags and vintage '60s bias ply 50s on the back. The trans is the stock turbo 200 and the last time I drove it didn't really shift right. The engine is a mix and unmatched 350, .40 over (Can't remember 2 bolt or 4 bolt) Headers, stock cast crank, stock rods, and I think flat top pistons. The cam card is in the car, can't remember the specs but it's a moderate one. The intake is an edelbrock single plane Performer RPM, with a Holley Classic 750cfm double pumper. The engine has not even been turned over since fall of 1999.

I though I might get to restore it one day, it's been in my family since new. I'd rather see it go to someone for parts or restoration before I just scrap it. I'll take best offer by the 16th of May.

I'll get it out of the garage and take some pics this weekend.

That looks like a straight little car. Good luck selling it!

Well it was a classy little car at one time. Age and weather has really taken it's toll on it. I really hope someone takes it and restores it. It was a special factory order, so there were none others like it. I'm told that it was the only one painted fire engine red that year. It was repainted in '89 while I was away in the army, and they didn't do a very good job. All the moldings have fallen off and the vinyl top is all dried up and cracking. While I was washing it for this picture I was remembering every little knick and dent it got, right down to the dent in the left front that my wife made when she first started driving. She hid in the bedroom crying because she though I would be mad. I'm working on a complete history in hopes that someone will be interested. My 3 yr old was recently diagnosed with Leukemia, and I realize I will never have the money to fix the car up, so it's gotta go.
