1968 HO with white interior

only one of the 515 made with white interior.

Love it!!!!!!!!.....No price listed so I'll assume it is out of my league.

I've never seen one with the white innards. I kinda like it.

My '83 H/O had grey interior. I've seen very few others like it, but occasionally run across one. The dark red was much more popular. But, here's a rarity for you... I read the sales literature on the '84 H/O way back when. It said you could get red or blue interior. Has anyone ever seen an '84 H/O with blue interior?

I digress... I think this '68 is a little outside my price range, too!

I love those cars, don't know a ton about them. I like how this one has aged yellow armrests - that interior looks mostly original

There have always been rumors about a couple '68 H/Os with white dealer installed interiors when new. Would be nice ot see a body tag with "947 & Z - Z".

I recall something to that effect ...

But can't say I ever saw one.

I'd still take a black interior over the white one.... but yea, I wouldn't turn down any 68 H/O if it showed up on my doorstep.

It may be the shadowing, but it looks as the headliner and "C" pillar ear muffs are black. I believe these would had been white to match the interior color if the H/O was factory built with a white interior. I do not think the dealers changed the interior color, but rather Hurst or subsequent buyers did the alterations. Especially in areas where the black interior was unbearable during the non-winter months, as these were everyday drivers, just as almost every muscle car was when purchased new.

"1968 Hurst Olds Peruvian Silver and Black Internet Price
Peruvian Silver and Black / White
44,956 Miles / VIN: 344878M403605"

"1968 HURST OLDS- 515 produced the original owner Briggs Cunnningham ordered this car with white interior. 1 of a kind collectible with full documentation. 455C.I. engine with W-30 package.

Good information on this special car and Briggs Cunningham:

All of our vehicles go through our extensive Vette Culture inspection prior to sale at our Performance/Service Center (see below for details). Comprehensive "bumper to bumper" Extended Warranties are available for all of our stock or custom built/modified Corvettes."

blah blah blah we're the greatest resellers ever blah blah blah

Photos of the thing:

Gorgeous car overall.
Incorrect hokified PCV tube- Why not go ahead and fix that?
glossy armor-all hoses?
Looks like disk brakes!
weird- they got the notched valve covers on right way 'round!
Still wearing the XEW155 CA plate from the magazine photo?!

a paragraph of Spotter's Tips from a Restoration Guide book [that shows side marker lights on a '67 - oops... but I digress]

Followed by more photos of our Most Glorious Shrine of Automobiles. And a few more pages of how glorious we are here.

The details of the particular car are almost lost in the sea of self praise on the seller's web page.
Maybe they could devote a paragraph or two to the details like final drive ratio, posi or not, trans ID and VIN stamp, engine block casting number, date, and VIN stamp, Carb number and date, distributor number and date, Intake casting nunmber, exhaust casting IDs.... trivial details like that.

The pearl arm rests of 68 had a tendency to do that over age. Had to replace mine due to same issue.
