69 hurst olds

nice complete non-air car with 3.91 correct engine, trans, int, carb, dist and all the hurst stuff. 77,000 mi. paint was done in late 80's and needs to be done again.this is not my car-i'm posting it for a friend and he is firm at 45K. drive line was all redone in early 90's. it wouldn't take much to make this real real nice car-lots of clean up and some paint.what it needs for parts is the air flapper door(the top can is there as is the vacuum motor) and a antenna mast.feel free to call me at 952-888-5077 with any questions as i have it in my garage i'll try to post some pic shortly

So is this car a clone? I noticed you were careful not to say 'numbers matching' but did say 'correct'. The heads are D as they should be; the engine looks spot on. So does the interior of the car, right down to the headrests. Surprised to see the white overspray in the wheel wells. That's unusual to see for a paint job that was done in the 80's......looks too fresh.

For the guys who are serious buyers, does your friend have all the documentation for the car including the work done?

Kinda hard to tell, but to me they look like D's...
So maybe real? For 45K, it needs to be.

yes it is a real car. it is numbers matching or correct whatever you want to call it. the car has been driven about 1000 mi in the last 21 or so years, that is why it is for sale. also is listed in the hurst olds regestery. there is some documentation but i don't think he has a p-o-p.you guys must be slippin' a little bit-no one has yet to mention the valve covers are on the wrong side

Gee, I wouldn't have noticed, but I'm more a 70-72 guy. Easy fix though.

The orientation of the valve covers was the same 1968-1972 with a BBO. Installing them on the wrong side is a common mistake.

I thought the engine was installed wrong way 'round!

It might get driven more if the battery cable were installed...

I think that is the most common mistake a new member makes. Then they learn to look at the date of the last post. Most of us did it when we first came on here.

I realize it was an old post. Regardless, just trying to find a specific car that was/is very important to me. I realize it’s a long shot but if this is not the car then maybe someone on here will notice this and possibly help me out. Like the one listed here, our car was sold & repainted in the late 80’s/ early 90’s. It was also a non AC car. Thank you!

Well, the market may have moved a little in the past ten years.
