seems to me the roof paint seems to match the hood and fenders,but everything from the fenders back don't seem to be right. there is even a small ding on the upper portion of the left fender.
the drivers seat is torn up a bit, is that an origional steering wheel?

It looks to me like original paint from the windshield back, and the front clip was painted fairly recently. It also looks like there's some rust at the bottom of the fender, though it could be just a little dirt or tar.
That is an Olds sport steering wheel, original to the car who knows, but an original piece.
The seat being ripped up just means there was a lot of seat time in the car. Must be a good one to drive.
For 14K I'd say it's a decent car, just from what we can see.

So what do you think a good price is, and is the car worth putting the money into it to fix all the issues, not meaning restoration just fixing the problems.

It needs a total restoration. You can buy a completely restored car with an OAI hood for less than $20K. Why would you pay more than $5k- $7k for this one.

No 4 speed OAI hardtops have sold recently that are anything except high end restorations. Restored OAI Automatics are currently selling for under $20K (I know of at least one member here that just bought one). The swap is less than $3k. Nothing has sold recently even remotely close in comparison to this car for anywhere near $14k. An amateur restoration of this car is going to run $12k at a minimum. My point is this car is way overpriced

Ally - I was being facetious. You compared current prices to what this car is listed at, yet this is a 4 spd.
With none or few 4 spd comps to go by, one can't really say this car is a 5-7 K car. Were it an AT car, then I'd have agreed with you.

I have a hard time believing a 4speed would make this car double in price, but I haven't been following sales so what do I know.
I would like to know more about what makes these cars valuable and whatnot. I'm sort of thinking about going to look at this car. I'm going to be researching for the next little while.

It runs strong, and he said the engine had never been apart. Drivetrain appeared to be the strongest suit of the car. I'm not sure what a good price would be, but it's getting closer in my opinion. Let me see if I can post some pics up...

Hope these help those that asked, and these are really of the worst spots. For those that look at the car, double check the frame rails. I'm sure they're solid, but the scaling also scared me off.

I appreciate the free bump on my Sherwood Green Post , Just to update you my car is together and running! The pictures show what has been done. It only need minor detials to complete. Yes I have well above the price asking, over 9k in the motor with aluminum heads! If this was a number match car, I would want another 8-10k. The 4 speed cars and getting tough to find.
A paper work car always will bring a premium!

Your car looks real good. I paid almost $6000 for my Cutlass S which I'm currently cloning in a W-31. I think that 442 would sell quick up North for $10K, maybe a little more. Just look at what the cars are bringing on ebay. Don't really know if money is changing hands, but the prices sure are high.
