I had just purchased the new issue of hemmings muscle machines and low and behold, your car is in it! what a great story and kudos for waiting to collect the proper parts to do it right, I felt like I was almost right there after reading the story.. we all wish we could keep them forever but I also think it's cool that someone else will be able to fall in love with her all over again! good luck with the sale, dave

The car sold yesterday. We are very happy with the process and end to our care-taking of this very special car. I will be writing a summary in the next few days. Lee

Well, I'm a bit dissapointed that it didn't surpass the mark of what the 'red/orange car originally did at BJ the first time. Or maybe it did. i guess that is Lee's buisiness as far as what he agreed to. I also saw the car at mcacn and it does not dissapoint. This car should be one of the ones other true blue doc'd w converts should strive to be. Can you have the bank order the cash so you can show us a picture of the "stacks"?!!

Stunning car, I saw it at Gary's shop. And for those who don't know, Gary certainly is cranking out some phenominal work. The car and Level One shop are both a dream to see in person. That car in my oppinion is PRICELESS!

Just a thought -

Were Firestone RWL tires ever installed by the factory in 1970, only seen Goodyear RWL tires?

Seems 1971 only had Uniroyal RWL tires installed, though could be wrong. Anyone know for sure?

What brand RWL tires were installed on new 1972 models?

Ap my rally has on the paper work Firestone Raised white letter wide ovals.
I have heard that both were correct depended who could get them the size they needed ??

The assy. manual will show what tires were available with wheel/model choice and the tire manufacturer.

Hi Anthony: there is already a good discussion on the tires on CO. 1970 did have Firestone Wide Ovals. My car was built in March and photos in April show the Firestone tires. Lee
