Wow, that is a very unique car. If you don't mind me asking, what inspired you to paint it like a watermelon?

I never paid attention before but were all 70 sport mirrors like these? For some reason I thought it was only certain models that got it.

Yes, all Cutlass or 442 models got the same bullet style sport mirrors for 1970, and 1970 only.

The paint job is hideous but very clever and well executed, I will have to give it that much.

Paint aside the body looks in really good condition. Seeing how it's a Cutlass S however, getting the right grills for it will be nearly impensive or expossible. A perfect car for a 442 clone. Maybe some pics of the engine, trunk and interior would help motivate the sale?

It's an exact match!

Paint aside, I think it definately got potential. I just don't have the time, money or patience for TWO projects. Nevermind the fact the wife isn't too happy about having two donor cars and now this in the garage and driveway.

A happy wife is a happy life..........right?

So, she's gotta go. (the CAR !!!)

I think I might have the grills for it. If I do, I'll throw them in the deal too.

Ahh, our ol buddy Gallagher. He was hysterical. I think his hat with the hair sewn onto the back was the best, next to the watermelon smash! He was awesome...
Come to think of it, he could teach some of the people who post on CL a thing or two about 'language'...http://www.google.ca/url?sa=t&rct=j&...xOWkuPkZ1jVLsg

and the incredible 'Sledge O Matic'....enjoy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L1G7h...eature=related Imagine what he could do to a watermelon Cutlass

does look like a great project car and for now one can have fun with that torque monster Buick in there as is. I like the paint job - I'd go with black wheels though to represent the seeds

Do you know what year the Buick engine is?Heck,I might buy that thing.I actually have the rear seat panels that they removed.Did they stitch a cover over the dash? Can't say I've seen that. You feel like making a drive? We already have that blue 70 of Steve's coming here.I would make something pissed out of that car.Leave me an e-mail with your info.

I should also add that it has the mounting brackets for bucket seats and console (I have the console though a little rough). It also has a tilt wheel.

I have listed the car on EBay due to lack of interest. If you want to see the add, which includes more pictures, the item # is: 180847001565

I prefer to sell it privately.
