1970 vista cruiser in Calif

I am finally motivated to sell my 1970 VC located in Southern California. It will be on ebay next week and sold for $1,600. The car now has the original green hood back on it too. Here is the craigslist ad:

1970 Olds Vista Cruiser the car with the windows in the roof. Original California car with original blue and gold plate issued with the car. Options included ps, p/brakes, air, third row seat. New windshield, front seat and carpet on front. Rebuilt engine 350 4 barrel, aluminum intake, headers and flowmaster mufflers. Body is nice with older paint. Car needs to be sorted.

It will be sold with a bill of sale and was out of the California DMV system years ago. It will need to be transported but will drive on to the trailer. Lee

It is finally going to sell. Several people are interested so it will go to a new owner soon. By the way that is the bottom price. The 70 is virtually rust free too not even rust in the fender bottoms.

I am going to keep my 5 speed stick 1971 VC, love it. Lee

Yeah. In my personal experience, if I can drive a car onto a trailer, I can pretty much drive it across the country.

But then, you should see some of the things I have driven...

Car had a fresh engine non running when I got it. Needs tune, exhaust finished, tires. Generally sorting. Not driven or registered since 1990.

No exhaust, bad tires, sitting for 20 years -- sounds like most of the cars I drove before I was 30 .

Eric: Lets spin it to rust free car with fresh hipo 350. I am trying to sell the car not keep people from buying it. It has headers and flowmasters, just needs exhaust run to the back of the car. Really loud now and does not sound like a family car station wagon. Lee

Moderate action on the Vista Cruiser, in line John, Ben, Mike and one other. Still unsold and the ball is in John's court. Because nobody is local and shipping is involved in this deal, I am doing this pecking order thing to make sure the ultimate buyer is happy with the purchase. If John bows out Ben will have next option on the car. I can't do first one to send money because I feel the due diligence is important and the deal must be right for the buyer. Plus I don't want to be booted off this site, it is too much fun.

The VC is on it was to the new owner. Ben had to go through two shipping companies and three weeks to finally get a good company. Got a killer deal on shipping inside a trailer even. Thanks for all your interest and this site for finding a good caretaker of the old car. I am glad I resisted parting it out. I am down to 4 collector cars! Lee
