1964 Jetstar 1 For Sale
I'm not sure if this is an appropriate place to announce this. If not, I'm sorry if I offend anyone. I just wanted to give Oldmobile Lovers a heads up that I just listed my Dad's 1964 Oldsmobile Jetstar 1 on eBay. He left it to me when he passed this past January and sadly, due to losing my job, I have to sell it.
It is a beautiful car. I don't know complete history as he bought it in 2007 (I believe from a women in MI), but I recently had it tuned up by an old timer here in town who said it is all original (exept for radio, but I have original radio).
Please take a look if your interested. I hate to sell it, but would love to see it go to someone who really appreciates these cars.

This a perfect place to post this. Beautiful car! You should post the ebay link as well.
You don't see many Jetstar I's out there. They made it for only two years, and production for '64 was 16,084 while for '65 it was not much more than one-third of that at 6,552.
As I understand it, it was introduced to offer people who might have wanted a Starfire but couldn't afford it a way to get into a full-size sporty Oldsmobile coupe. The Jetstar I was never made as a convertible or any body style other than a two-door coupe.
Base price for '64 was about $500 less than a Starfire at $3,603 while the Starfire coupe was $4,138. That's about a 20% premium for the Starfire.

Ye gods I'm in love. Correct down to the pinstripe. I'm having bad thoughts about that car, like how good it would looked parked next to the green Starfire...
Location and price will help.

A quick search on ebay turns up the auction.

He's in Arroyo Grande, California (next to Pismo Beach, on the coast, about 90 miles above Santa Barbara). His "buy it now" price is $11,000. Current bid (as of this moment) is $2,800.
