63 F85 conv w/Grandnational turbo fi v6
My 1963 Oldsmobile Cutlass F-85 convertible with a 1985 Grand National 3.8 turbo motor is up for sale. I purchased the car already painted white with newer black carpet and black top. The odometer shows @ 40,000 miles I assume that its correct because the car was apart for a long time and the car wasn’t rotted. I put the car together a few years back and had my fun, but now its time to move on to something different.
For the conversion I installed: Rebuilt turbo motor and rebuilt turbo Rebuilt th350 trans with a new converter Custom aluminum radiator S-10 disc brake conversion New motor mounts External trans cooler Rebuilt and sleeved master cylinder New tires that have less than 2000 miles on them New custom exhaust Custom headers that are aluminum coated Small intercooler (not sure if it does a whole lot) BBK external electric fuel pump Delphi 37# injectors Adjustable fuel pressure regulator Adjustable waste gate rod makes 17 lbs boost. 2 Custom chips one is a thumb wheel chip but causes the check engine light to come on Custom aluminum 3 row radiator 3 high out put electric fans mounted on an aluminum fan shroud Car also comes with a 4speed pedal The car isn’t perfect but it isn’t junk either. The body has some small bubbles but not rot holes. The paint isn’t perfect but it’s nice enough to show. The gas gauge always reads full. I just fill it when I take it out; As long as you stay out of the boost it does around 20 mpg. The check engine light comes on when on the highway because the speed sensor isn’t reading correctly, the speedometer reads 20 miles per hour slow just needs a different cable gear. The front tires rub when you turn the wheel all the way. Engine runs warm on long highway runs, with it being a unibody car the air is trapped under the hood. I was planning on either putting a scoop on the hood or removing the heater box and vent it though the cowl. But I will let the new owner decide.
