1963 Cutlass Deluxe with AC & 5 speed

This one year only body style Cutlass is in excellent condition, no bondo, no rust, very solid body and superb trim and bright work as the pictures show. The car has been repainted once in its life with the original “Provincial White” (cowl tag Code C) color. The not very often seen factory optioned Air Condition still blows cold air and has been converted to 134. Has the correct dual rear view mirrors. Only the passenger side tail light housing is showing some pitting, drivers side tail light housing is in great shape. Glass is excellent all the way around, windows roll up & down smoothly. High beams, low beams, tail lights, brake lights, license plate light, all work and are bright (good grounds). Turn signals work and the backup lights are also functioning. All dash lights and interior lights also work well. Even the factory clock runs fairly accurate. The bad news, the stock radio only makes static sounds. It has the factory rear speaker option. Padded dash has NO cracks or defects. The wheel covers are in nice condition, it’s running 215-70R 14 inch new tires. The little all aluminum 215 cubic inch engine still has its original 4GC 4bbl Carburetor. Some of the new parts installed in the last couple of years are a new clutch disc, new pressure plate, new throw out brng, new lower ball joints, new front coil springs, front sway bar bushing kit, new dual exhaust, new motor and transmission mounts. The driveline has a new carrier bearing and the constant velocity u-joint assembly has been rebuilt. A new replacement aluminum radiator and fan clutch has been installed. The very smooth shifting GM T-5 five speed manual transmission has a .73 overdrive allowing for easy 75 mph freeway cruising. It has a 3.36 to 1 rear end. Very fun car to drive with the 5 speed and it always draws lots of attention at the car shows! The chassis underneath is bone dry, there are NO engine or any other leaks on this car. Is the car 100% perfect, no it’s not, but it would be very hard to find one with the factory AC, 5 speed and the condition that it’s in. I’m located in Gilbert Arizona and selling the car for $13,750. I know there are cheaper ones that come up every now and then, but they usually have rust problems or need work, I feel this one is a better bargain at this price.

which 5 speed did you use?
I'm getting ready to put a T-5 in my '62 Cutlass and it looks like my stick will be a few inches farther back than yours.

1984 Camaro V8 T5 was used with a Ford shifter and 10" Lokar, which bolts right on the Ford shifter. Makes for smooth as warm butter shifting. Using a ford tailshaft will get you about an 1 1/2 inch farther forward.

Because it is a '61. Just big *** fingers.
And I think they all say "F-85" don't they?

So you used the chebby box with a ford tail housing? what about the main output shaft?
PM me with what exactly you did.

Gene

No, I stayed with the stock tail housing, had to draw the line somewhere on the cost. As it turned out, the length turned out to be pretty well where I needed it to be.

A cutlass will say cutlass on the dash and an f85 says f85. Atleast all my 62's had the dash emblem correspond like that.

Young you're correct I've had 3 62' 2 being cutlass's and the other your old wagon. Cutlass should say cutlass on dash never f85 so I wonder what happened there. Do you have the vin?

The original trans has a 10 spline input shaft. Later 5 speeds you talk about have different count input spline. May be difficult to find a disc to fit the stock flywheel.
