79 Cutlass Supreme ( Not Mine )

I found this one off of Greenfield Ave in between Sunnyslope and Moorland Rd in New Berlin . It needs some sheet metal work and a bumper from what I could see .....

If it runs and drives, not a bad price.

I'm thinking the price is too high . It needs new rear quarters and a bumper . Who knows what else is lurking under the chrome , otherwise I would agree on this one .

Not to mention ..... I thought the 231 was a V6 ? I also thought those were crappy motors from what I remember . I could be wrong .

Nice looking car! Looks like the color is Medium Green Metallic (Code 44). Hopefully the visible rust issues aren't lurking deeper below the surface , especially in the notorious "rust prone" rear frame rails.

Yes, the 231 is a V6 (3.8L Buick). Based on the For Sale sign in the window, this car has a 260-V8 (4.3L Olds).

You're welcome. It's all good, thank you for sharing the photos and information on the car.

I'm just glad it's not near me, I'd be tempted to make a purchase.

Careful folks, that rear bumper is sagging, telltale of a possible rear frame issue. Common with these cars, one of the first things to check. it may have rear frame rail rot which is a costly repair and it will never pass a lot of state inspections. If it has the 231 V-6 it's a massively underpowered car as well.

You don't have to worry about inspections here in WI .... YET . Like I said before , it definitely needs sheet metal repair , and a rear bumper . You just shed a light on another issue I didn't think about with the frame .
