So some dude came by lastnight to look at the car and said it was a fake 442 because it had the cutlass emblem on the glove box.
So i had to give him a lesson on 72's.
He said he just got finished looking at a 69 396 chevelle 4 speed finished car for 10,000 i said sounds like a great deal ... but i dont think he was buying any car at all just a tire kicker.
I knew it from our phone conversation that it would be a waste of time. The car was advertized for $10,900. so he says oh i cant pay $9000. for it so i told him im not selling it for $9000 anyway.

Put a sign in the window for $18,000 and let someone talk you down to $10,900.

Yeah but I wouldn't put it past anyone to actually do it though =/ I wish I had the cash I'd grab it from you. I'd even drive to pick it up and drive it home. I'd have to sell a bunch of cars to be able to set aside that kind of money......I'm in love cos it's w30 heads. =D

Johnny, this is really befuddling. Its a big block car in resale red. Is it that nobody is coming to see it or people have issues when they look at it. I know some people's expectations are just too damn high, no matter where you price it.

Good luck.

I agree! You just don't run across a good running driving car for $10k. IS it perfect, no, but with a lil tlc it can be a great car!

Only way I can explain it is that a lot of people are hurting for cash, even more than I had thought.
Cash is king, and ANYTHING you are trying to sell may bring far less than you had feared - especially when it comes to nonessentials.

Not a comment on this car, you understand, but the economy.
IMO, this car is well "worth" way more than $10k.

The response I'd favor is, "You are right, you CAN'T pay $9k for it!"

Nah, I wouldn't want it to sit outside Maybe I should just move to San Antonio and we can all get a ranch and build a 10 car shop with a lift in every bay

Johnny, where are you located? I should probably look at this car already. I wouldn't be able to buy it unless some miracle happened, but at least I could vouch for you. Let me know if that's cool for you!

Just because there's an empty spot doesn't mean it'll be safe. I've seen your garage lol! Besides, it needs a nice clean spot of concrete to show off how well it DOES NOT leak a drop of ANYTHING...I'm not so sure it will get that at your place lol!

I'm shocked too that it hasn't sold yet. It looks like a real beauty for the money. Are you going to bring it to any local shows?

Lowering price $8900.

I though the last price drop would do it got a couple bites locally but nobody pulled the trigger.
$8900 gotta go wont be at this price long I have a 2010 challenger forsale also if it goes to the dealer this car will not be forsale no more and will be painted then sold for $12-15
Thanks all!!!

I might have to take a trip to come look at this. It's a 4 hour drive, but it may be worth it.
