Power steering pump on a Rocket 303
Has anyone mounted a power steering pump on a Rocket 303 engine?
I have used the generator mount for a/c pump and fabed a mount on the opposite side for an alternator. I am out of room and ideas for a p/s pump.

I believe Olds offered PS starting in 1952.
Pump was located on the drivers side at the front of the head.
Brackets should be available for this, but you'll have to hunt for them.
Maybe someone on this forum can help.

I have seen an aftermarket two units on one shaft power steering and I think generator( may have been a alternator)which freed up one space. I'm thinking that a 303 may have only a single belt, if so get a double grove front pulley and mount your A/C unit low and right under where you now have your A/C pump and put every thing back like it would be on a 324 power steering car, the power steering pump on the left, generator far right with the A/C pump underneath it.I have seen this work very well in the past.
I know if I lose a belt on my 324 the remaining belt has a hard time from slipping under load so I don't know how well the two unit on one shaft would work, but I have see it advertised, someone must be using it.....Tedd

Since I last replied to this post I have installed power steering on the car and used an electric power steering pump. Finding a place for it was a bit of a challenge but decided to put it in the spare tire cavity in the trunk. Works slick and quite too.
