?? about new booster/master install with pics

1971 A body 4 wheel power drum brake system

As far as the rubber sleeve the new master cylinder and power booster are set up a little different than the old ones.

Will this new set up work together?

Do I need to use some white greese on the rubber sleeve? or the push rod with O ring?

How do you properly adjust the shackle on the threaded rod where it hooks to the pedal under the dash?

here's some pics of the old and new master and booster

thanks much for any help

I just did this not to long ago. All the pictures are such close ups I can't really get my bearings as to what's in relation to what.

As for adjusting the shackle on the threaded rod to where it hooks to the pedal under the dash, I just set the new one the same as the old one. Although I haven't been able to drive it yet to see if that actually worked or needs further adjustment.

My new power booster came with two rods, make sure you pick the right one!

I also replace a vacuum booster and MC recently. I didn't have any troubles. Good to hear that yours is working well too.

That just looks like a protective shipping cap on the master.
