Need Help Power steering bolt

I just went out to start my cutlass and found the power steering bracket was just hanging there, I went to auto parts stores and they have no clue what I am talking about I need a bolt that has threads on both sides and a nut in the center it holds the timing cover on and the other side holds the power steering bracket with a nut. I took them the old one and the have no clue can anybody help me please. it looks like a regular bolt with thread on the head part Where can I get one?

That's the problem with old engines. either pulling them appart or just the occasional surprise, the bolts break. 2 choices. 1 find someone parting out an engine and get the specific bolt you need. 2 make it from threaded rod. But a long piece,cut it to length and there you go.Good luck.

I will check my nut and bolt stash, those old coffee cans full of pieces-parts are priceless sometimes. Try moving your post to the parts wanted section, I'm sure a bunch of guys have one laying around they would part with, for a small fee.

I just looked at my 72 Cutlass and I think I saw the bolt you are looking for. The one I am looking at is about 1 1/4 inches in the middle part that is not threaded. If you can't find the bolt (you probably) or as a temporary measure, I would take some threaded stock which you can get at any auto parts store or hardware store. Take a small piece of pipe and cut a sleve the length of the unthreaded portion, slide it on and then put the pump and nut on. I don't have mine apart but from what I can see, this should work. I hope it makes sense. Good luck.
