Casting Number on heads
I recently came across some heads with the casting #23 on them and a manifold with casting #382855. I was wondering if anyone knows if these are worth buying and rebuilding? I have a 79 350 sbo. Will these fit?

Lue, I don't think so. None of the books I have list these numbers for innerchange to a 1979 olds block.
I can only guess these items are pre-1964 and first generation rocket parts are a different family. The manifold casting number "appears" to be older than 1964. Hopefully someone else can help or confirm.
