push rods
Hello to all. My question is how do I determine the length of push rod that is required when I have just milled my G heads .060 inch to raise CR.Also the cam is Lunati,advertise duration 290 int./300 exh. and 0.496 int./0.520 exh. lift.Any help would be greatly apprietiated.OBTW it is a 455 Olds

They make an adjustable push rod, not for use in the engine, for measuring the length of the ones required after doing something like you did. I think Summit, or Jegs, or Speedway all three sell them.

Actually, being a cheap b@$t@rd, I would just take an old pushrod, cut a section out, weld a piece of threaded rod to one end of the cut tube and weld a nut to the other. Instant, free pushrod checker. Run an extra nut onto the threaded rod before putting it together and now you can lock the adjustment before taking it out.
