Air intake, air temp sensor.
Hi to everyone, looking around for parts supplier and found out the 3.5L as an air temperture sensor and sense it is located in the air intake, can I guess this senor would in some way regulate the amount of fuel consumed at a given weather temperture? Still looking for reason for very poor winter fuel milage. Anyone Know about this sensor? Happy New Year and God Bless. |

The air temperature sensor is one of many sensors used on modern cars to regulate fuel economy. Ultimately though, the three most important sensors to a cars fuel economy are the coolant temperature sensor, the O2 sensor, and the throttle position sensor. These three sensors together with the computer run a car on a "closed loop" system after the car heats up.
