Front End making noise

My wife has a 99 ALero and the wheel speed sensors on the front go about every year and a half. This isn't a huge deal because I buy the expensive hub assembly so I can usually get a replacement under warrenty. Now I noticed a little "howeling" noise at the end of last week and the sensor had been gone for about a month. So I thought wheel bearing, and now I really better change it. I put the new one on and the noise is even worse. Do you think it's a bad bearing? Or is there somethinng else wrong? The ABS and TRAC lights went out so I know I got the right bearing. Anyone have an answer?? Thanks

Does anyone know the torque specs on the center bolt on the hub?
