1970 wiring diagram

Any one know where I can get just a wiring diagram for a 1970 442. Mine has had way to many people under the dash with wire cutters and tape.

You can buy color copies on line for like $30, or for the same money you can get a factory Chassis Service Manual, which you really should have anyway.

You might consider going to a nearby library to see if they have a collection of Motor Manuals used by mechanics back in the day. The university I attended had a large collection of these at their library. They came in handy and could be photo copied for $.10 a page.

This 72 diagram ~might~ give clues for some for underdash wiring, but there are definite differences in the engine wiring.
Use this as a "possible reference" and not a bible...

Large laminated color coded diagrams. I got them for both my cars.
On my Cougar I got the bonus of getting the complete breakdown of the sequential tail light system on the flip side of the main diagram.

If it works for you, great. For my money, I'd get a factory Chassis Service Manual which has the wiring diagram PLUS everything else you need to know to repair the car.

I got the manual as well Joe. But the diagrams I purchased are larger, in color, and very clear. Plus if they get dirty, you just wipe them off.
I agree that if do any work on your own cars, that having the factory manuals are a MUST.
I veiw the laminated diagrams as a very helpful additional tool.
