yes on the ground wiring, I assume the radio and speaker impedance match. It is the original speaker, has never been removed, works perfectly with original am radio, speaker is grounded to the dash. Only one wire for speaker to radio. When turned on, radio lights up, and I can hear the music very faintly, not from the speaker but from the radio itself. When I unplug the speaker wire from the radio, there is no change, but when I touch the speaker wire to the body of the radio, the speaker pops and comes alive, but still no music.....
