The first order of bizness is get the car up in the air. Then go to town
Lots of elbow grease

with the tools of the trade. Scrapers, putty knives wire brush, maybe an electric drill/grinder with a wire cup brush. I don't like to use solvents but carb cleaner and rags or maybe...diesal fuel and a paint brush.....and more rags and more scrapping and more rubbing.... None of that is good for your health though it might improve you upper body strength
I would rather use bio-degradable detergents and high pressure water if possible. But of course, this just leads to more rust if you don't cover the underbody soon with paint. Yea, complete diss-assembly and a rotory stand would be nice huh?
And when your all done, you get to clean the driveway
