I have an 84 Omega with a 2.5 and an automatic. The car starts great and idles smooth. When I put it in gear, it clunks and dies. I unplugged the four prong thing at the transmission, but it still does it. Ant help with this matter would be greatly appreciated. If i have this in the wrong place, I appologize.

 

It finally went into gear without stalling. I unplugged that transmission convertor lockup thing. Hopefully I wont have anymore issues.
