Any Hudson Hornet / Olds 88 Racing Pic's

Hello,

I'm new to this forum. I own a couple Hudson Hornet Coupes (51 and 52) and admire the Olds 88's. I was curious to see if any of you Old's guys had any old racing pic's of the famous contests between these cars. I have seen quite a few from our Hudson group but thought to check out an additional resource. Here is a link to probably the most comprehensive compilation of Hudson race photo's (and a few Old's 88's) http://www.classiccar.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13055
For your reading interest, I've taken the liberty to attach a couple pics. The first is pic of my 52's factory 7X Hornet engine. I haven't put on the Twin -H aircleaners yet. Puts out 230 hp from the factory. Not bad for an old flat head six... The other is my 51.
Again, please post any racing pics if you got 'em. Thanks! Niels

That is pretty cool! It is always good to see pics of Old cars. Especially if the pic includes an Olds in the background. BTW, your Hudson is a beautiful car. I am sure you enjoy driving it.

Did you Hudson guys get a kick out of the Disney Cars movie when Paul Newman played the part of the old Hudson Hornet? That was an awsome movie, I wish there was an Oldmsobile in it besides Bob Cutlass.

I'll never understand why guys love the look of custom '49 '50 and '51 Mercurys when the Hudson looks cooler and it also looks like the factory already chopped the top for you. Nice car

The movie "Cars" was certainly the best thing to happen for the Hornet. We are all car guys. This link is to the real car that Pixar used to create Doc Hudson- it is owned by Ivan Zaremba and Pixar paid him quite a sum of money to film the car driving and record the sounds. The racing sounds that Doc Hudson makes in the movie are real and from this car. http://www.historicgrandnational.com/6.htm
I'd like to see a sequel with a Rocket 88!
