1987 Cutlass Supreme/455
I don't have the time, money, or space to work on this project during college, so I'm selling it. It's a 1987 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme 2 door Hardtop. I also have a big block Olds 455/400 turbo.
-it has a 307 with 127k miles.
-The engine does not run, but I believe it could without too much work. I think the Carburetor is shot. Engine was compression tested shortly before it was parked, and it has a newer timing chain.
-It has one minor ding on the roof, and one very small ding on the passenger side front fender.
-The interior is in pretty good shape; the radio has been pulled out of it.
-It is missing one rally centercap.
-needs a paint job
Before I owned the car, my dad bought it in '88 from a car lot. It had 5000 miles on it or so, it had been a lease car before.
I have a big block Olds 455 and turbo-400 transmission that i intended to transplant into it. The 455 was rebuilt about 20,000 miles ago. It has a Edelbrock Performance intake on it, and a rebuilt Carter AFB 625 cfm carb. I'll throw in a box of parts, including a starter and 3 distributors or so for it, as well as a pair of 2.5" glasspacks. The carburetor works beautifully and has less than 50 miles on it. I don't know anything about the internals of the block, but I do know it was a 425 block from 65 or 66, and when it was rebuilt it was rebuilt with 455 internals. I also don't know the HP/Torque rating of the motor, I was told by the man I got it from that it was too much power for his pickup, and it chewed up his turbo-400 transmission that he had in it so he wanted to downsize.
I want to sell the car, transmission (bottom one in picture), and engine as a package, but I may break them up; if you're after one piece send me an offer and I'll think about it. I'm asking $2800/obo. I would be interested in trades on guns, or a Chevy/GMC 4x4.
Car is located in Lewiston, Idaho, and the Engine & Tranny are at my buddies shop in Clarkston, Washington, only about 10 minutes away. I may be able to deliver if considerations for fuel are taken into account.
