Need Help With My 1977 442
I need help. I got this car as a gift, it currently doesn't run as far as I know its due to the ignition switch.
Someone tried to break into it, and really messed up the ignition switch. So I got a new one, took the steering wheel off and Idk how to pop off the metal plate so I can get into the ignition switch. If anyone has step by step details on how to replace it, and any other information regarding a 1977 Olds 422 I would appreciate it. I'm having a hard time determining what kind of engine is in it as well. Thanks! |

http://buickperformance.com/tiltstee...lumnwobble.htm If the engine is a V6, it's the Buick 3.8 liter. If it's a V8, locate the block casting number on the small shelf above the water pump (where the oil fill tube is located) and post it here.

You should also consider purchasing a factory service manual if you are going to be doing alot of tinkering on your car. They are invaluable.
