77 442 exhaust question

I am changing the single exhaust to dual exhaust, but I have a singel exhaust trans cross member. My question is what A-body years will work. I have heard that 73-76 would work, because these years did not have the cat conv. Any help would be great

You are correct. I believe, though, that the 73 was the only one with the double hump. I could be wrong, though.

Sorry just trying to get some clarification on if a 71 cross member would work. I didn't know you were the forum police.

Forum Police?....Hmmm....Surely not I, but when information is given that I believe to be very accurate is not recognized or followed up with a comment or question, I have to wonder. Is it a cross over that you really need or was it the cross member? When you start making changes to a car that stray from stock there is nothing cast in stone. A lot is trial and error. If you won't believe information given on forums such as these why ask? To see if a 71 will fit take some measurements with a tape measure.
