W-35 On A Convert....

Hey all,
Recently asked you guy's where to get a trunk lid and spoiler to put on my convertible...purchased from Fusick and all is well until I go to mount the spoiler...no template or instructions for spoiler placement. Fusick answers back and says that the spoiler on converts was dealer installed only and was not a factory installed option?? this was something I had never heard of nor had ever anticipated...does this make sense? If so, am I looking at installing where I think is proper? I have a pretty good feel for where it should go but this caught me by surprise...any help would be appreciated...we are spraying this afternoon.

Fusick is correct. The factory never installed the rear wing on the convertibles (nor on the 70-72 notchback Supreme body). Wings were only factory installed on the 69 H/O and 70-71 Holiday Coupes and Sport Coupes.

Interesting! A co-worker owns a 70 Cutlass convertible with a rear spoiler. However, I've always thought the rear spoiler looks aftermarket, it might be a repo from Fusicks (I'm not sure). Ultimately, my co-workers Olds is a decent car.

Plus 2,3 or 4 69 H/O drop tops depending on whose story you like best, But they we're "factory installed " anyway.

The dealers did install them at the request of the buyer. Many were done. Send me your email address in a pm and I will help you out. I have done it a couple of times.
