I have a 68 442 and want to replace the receiver dryer for the a/c. How do you get to the dryer? I can see taking out grill to get to one fitting, but the other fitting and bracket seem to be behind the headlight assembly. What is the easiest way to replace it??

 

Just so I'm clear, you mean the dryer that mounts on the front passender side of the condenser? I'm pretty sure I'm able to get at mine (because it's not actually on there yet). You might need to drop the bumper if you don't think you can reach it as your car now sits.

Thats' the one. It sits right behind the headlight housing area, and the fitting are not accessible from the bumper area that I can see.
