What's it worth?

I have a 60000 mile all original 74 olds delta 88. The car is in great condition. Olds 350. The only thing not working is the a/c. The only rust is on the bottom of the doors, and it seems pretty solid still. I can't decide if I want to sell it, but I really don't know what I'd get out of her. Anyone?

Is it a 4 door or a 2 door? Is it a convertible? What about the paint? Does the engine leak? There are alot of things that go into the price of a car.

It's a 4-door hardtop. The paint is in good shape, like the rest of the car. The engine runs smooth, and no leaks I'm aware of, atleast nothing that's leaving anything on the garage floor. It's not perfect by any means, but definately a well maintained example of a 34 year old car.

If you keep this post near the top Oldsguy might reply to it. He has a book that gives a good baseline price for selling and buying older Oldsmobiles, sort of like a Blue Book.

Sounds like it could fetch a decent price. When I bought my 64 98 a few years back I paid $1500. It is a 4 door hardtop, but it is pretty trashed. You might want to go to E bay and see what similar cars are going for.

Thanks to all. I have watched ebay, and I've gotten classic car values off of web sites, and looked just in general what cars of this type are going for. It just seems the pricing is all over the place. I don't know if some people are asking for way more than they will ever get, or if someone is actually paying 8000 dollars for a car very similar to mine.
