My 2001 gets a solid 25 MPG on the highway, and about 18-22MPG around town. I really like driving the car but I find that tires all of the same type cuts road noise considerably.

Also the computer system in my car is unreliable - too many false indicator lights as well as bogus check engine lights. Spent quite a bit of money maintaining this car over the past 5 years in parts and labor expenses. Several repair shops will refer you to a Cadillac dealership, because little knowledge of the car and lack of tools.

I don't know the exchange rate of the Canadian dollar verses the US, but would thnk if the car is clean and has been well maintained $4-5k US is not too bad a price for a car of its caliber.

Frankly, even though I think this car is a beauty and like how it handles when all is humming nicely, I would not recommend it to someone who can't afford the upkeep.
