Really? Where'd you find that? I'm not doubting you, I'd just like to know, 'cuz I don't want to be giving people the wrong information.

My '63 parts book shows the same number (583112) being used from '59 through '62. '63 is a different number (588142). My newer books are at work. That's why I posted the numbers, so I can refer to them when I get to work tomorrow. But they could all very well supercede to one number.

I can't remember if my '67 98 had drums like my '62 does. I want to say no, but that car has been gone for 7 years, so things are a little fuzzy.

At any rate, I just parted out a '62 Starfire and have a pair of nice used rear drums. One of them is missing that spring that runs around them.
