69 H/O Tune Up Parts
I am hoping to find some spare tune up parts for the day I actually have to do a tune up on my car. Unfortunately, my chassis service manual doesn't specifically mention the 69 H/O.
Does anyone have a tune-up guide specific to the 69 H/O that I could buy or copy?
Does Delco still make correct the correct point/condensor set for a stock 69 H/O distributor (1111973)? It would be nice if I could go to the local parts store and pick things up. If not, does anyone have the correct part numbers I should be looking for?
How about the distributor cap and the spark plugs?
Thanks for the help. I realize the plugs might be a bit of trial and error to get the correct heat range, since my cam is slightly hotter than stock. I don't know exact specs since the engine was built by a previous owner and I didn't crack it open since it ran fine. I haven't pulled the plugs either. Maybe they have an identifier on them?

Cool
From what I've read, the only thing that's not Origional in your car is the Gas.
I have seen the origional A/C delco Oil filters fro sale on Flea Bay.
But they ain't cheap.
Do you have the date coded spark plug wires?

Eric;
I went with a 'Pertronix' breakerless ignition several years back on mine and haven't though about points in a while, fit's right under the cap. Was fairly cheap, I'm happy with it.

You can still get them in an AC-Delco package, but they are far from what Delco-Remy electrical parts once were. Last ones I got were obviously a Wells product made in Mexico. Wells ignition is not what it was either. None of the past great names in ignition are.
I find the stuff on ebay frequently, and for my money Delco-Remy new old stock is the only way to go if you intend to keep the car as-built.
The 1974 parts book was current when the cars were still fairly new and in and out of dealer service departments, so these numbers should be good.
It calls for standard DR ignition parts for all 1956-74 V8 points distributors except UHV ignition system.
Grp 2.384 p/n 1931988 for clip-on type wire, 1966289 for screw-on type wire, and 1876600 for the Uni-Set (points/condenser combined) 56-74 all points distributors.
Distributor cap- Grp 2.367 p/n 800061, & rotor 2.381 1971247 56-74 all points distributors.
Vacuum advance (and here's where things get interesting!) 2.410 1973427 1969 400 perf engine or 442 w/455. Then it lists the same p/n for 1969 455 engine except F85. Eh?
Parts book callout on 1969 F85 Hurst distributor is 1111989, shared only with the 1969 W32 400.
Plugs are AC R44S which should work OK even with your big cam. Wire set 2.239 6292319 all 66-73 V8. Ignition coil 2.170 1115238 64-74 V8 points ignition.
For aftermarket, Standard Motor Parts Blue Streak ignition parts are still reasonably good quality. I've found Accel high-performance points can be rough on a distributor cam.
However it's telling that the only car I have still using points is the 1964 Starfire. I expect it will get a UniLite or Pertronix conversion someday too. The Pertronix made a world of difference on my 74 Hurst.

Thanks for all the info. She is not completely "as built", but is pretty close. Even went backward(?) from the pertronix to points when I put on the correct distributor. That is a decision I may reverse again in the future though.
