66 Vista Cruiser rear bumper search...
I've sent my 66 Vista Cruiser "Jeanee" to the local auto body man. Thanks to a friend in Council Bluff IA, I now have a parts car with every piece of chrome needed for my restoration. Now the hard part, I need a rear bumper and want to know if any other bumper ie; Buick wagon, Pontiac or El Camino is a match or close match? Help! I will also have a near perfect front Vista bumper is anyone needs one.

I'm not really familiar with the earlier Vista but I would try asking over at the Vista Cruiser / Sportwagon Skywagon Group over on Yahoo. There are guys on there that may be able to answer your questions and might possibly have a bumper.

Jeanee,
Try contacting Shane Reichlin in oldtown Idaho and tell him that Les Putnam referred you. I know Shane has several 66 vista cruisers, I don't know if he has any rear bumpers, but he might. Give him a try. shane reichlin <olds442ranch@yahoo.com> |

Thanks for the help. I got this car for free from a 81 year old lady named Jean. She parked it in the late 1990's...she was the kind that drove by brail. There was not one single straight piece of chrome on the thing, save the window trim. It's a Chicago car, black on black with factory air and 3rd seat. I'll post pics latter this year when its done. Thanks for the help, this site rocks.
