1st - When you have the car, put it into place and see if it fits. If it doesn't, note what needs to be done to make it fit. 2nd - Find out what you have, before you start asking questions. 3rd - How many times do you need to repeat this? 4th - Which part? If it is a '56, is it a real Hydro or a Jetaway? 5th - Congratulations. Quote:

If you spam an ebay auction that I'm bidding on, into a public forum, I will not be happy. Norm |

Work has arrived
Well the 50 Olds coupe finally came today, completing it's 1,700 mile ebay journey.
The motor in the car i think is a 371 has Gold valve covers plain with the vertical embossed line across, near the ends & a 4 barrel manifold > after further review, the ruling has been over turned. With more light on the covers, it was just surface rust. The covers are Green, no boss by the left center exhaust manifold. a screened breather on top, on the right side of the water pump. The top of the motor needs clean up etc. to identify anything. Now to find out is the motor turns freely. Metal work time and money. Hunting down some parts, and hope to have it driving Last edited by Nailhead 88 : 02-06-2008 at 06:05 AM. Reason: MOTOR??? |
