Overdrive Transmission
A few months ago I posted asking if anyone new the best way to swap an overdrive transmission into a 72 cutlass supreme with a 455/th400 powertrain with a column shifter. I was wondering if anyone has any updated information for me.
I know that TCI sells a th700r4 that looks like a good candidate. Yearone sells an adapter plate for the 700r4 to the back of the engine as well as a shifter conversion kit. Would the drive shaft need modification for this to work. would a different torque converter be needed? What else would need to be done? Thanks for the help!!! |
