Ok ,I made the swap on my 66 cutlass , but the TH 350 passing gear could not be connected by the tranny shop. They just laid it there next to the carb throttle. Anybody know where it connects and it there a mounting kit or something.

Are you talking about the mechanical kickdown? I think the TH350 uses mechanical and the TH400 uses vaccum. Your old tranny probably used mechanical also but it may not fit your new actuator for the TH350. Check with a local speed shop or carburetor shop. If that is what you are talking about, I am not sure where you can get a replacement linkage that will fit. You may have to fabricate one.

Nice to see eveyone back on the board...

The THM350 uses a cable for the detent downshift (kickdown). The THM300 (the 2 speed unit you removed) and the THM400 use and electric switch for the detent down shift. what you need to do is find a 1970's Cutlass with the same carb that you have (2bbl or 4 bbl) and get the bracket from the back of the Carb. When you remove the bracket you will see the cable connected to the throttle bellcrank on the left side of the carb.
