'65 Jetstar 88 Speedo question

Hello All,

Was wondering what is required to hook up the speedometer in my '65 to a TH400 trans. I bought the car with the trans already swapped in. The speedometer cable is not hooked to the trans and it is actually broken. Any information on where I could pick up a new on and what is need to hook it to the trans would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Greg.

On the full size cars the speedometer cable is driven off the drivers front wheel bearing cap on the drum.....Im thinking the Jetstar should be the same but if not ya would need to grab the parts from a big block car that came with the turbo 400 trans. That would be the dynamic, delta, sfire, 98 or jetstar I.

Hi! Greg
If your cable does not go to the trans it might be like my 66 olds 98, it was hooked to the hub on the drivers front wheel. Replacement part try Year One they might be able to help.

Get one for a 65 Chevy Impala if you don't want to use the front wheel drive speedo.
