TH400 swap in 84 Cutlass
Could you guys help me make a checklist of parts/procedures before I start in on my swap? In the process of picking up a early/mid '70's 455 and TH-400 tranny.
For the this swap I currently have the 307/TH200 3spd auto slow combo. Pretty sure the TH400 is longtailed so I will need a new driveshaft and the TH400 yoke correct? What else am I forgetting? Crossmember and linkage needs to be changed also, right? Mission of this rebuild/swap is to have a fun daily driver that can lay down some smack every now and then. |

Ok, for the record I found out the TH-350 is a direct swap in for the THM200. However the shift linkage and detent cable are different, and a line to the modulator is needed.
A TH-400 swap needs the 400's yoke, a shorter driveshaft, crossmember modded or the one from a 200R4, and all assorted attachments like the TH-350. |
