I need opinions and/or feedback

A guy near me is selling a 200 4R stage 1 w/1000miles. He's asking $500obo. The bad: the corner where the trans mount screw goes is broken. Should I make an offer or leave it be? Would a repair be expensive? Any opinions would great.

Personally I wouldn't trust it unless it was repaired. It can be TIG welded to fix the broken part, but I have no clue what that would cost.

I was thinking about low balling him since I have access to a free housing. Might not be worth the hassle to change the internals though....
