Hi,
I have an Olds Cutlass 71 and last summer I've noticed that it lost some transmission oil. In another thread http://classicoldsmobile.com/forums/...rt-number.html I have found a partnumber for the O-seal and I was able to order it even for europe. Now I've noticed that the olds is having another leak on the transmission and I'm looking for another partnumber. I've attached some pictures of the seal and I was wondering if somebody could tell me the name and the serial number of that. Regards |

Well what I see is the front U-joint with trans fluid on it. That means the rear seal on the trans is leaking.
What transmission do you have?

Hi,
Thanks for the quick response. It's an automatic transmission. It's indeed the rear seal that is leaking. Greetings |

They fit multiple applications. Don't worry about the description.

Go to rock auto and then to the part number search at the top of the page, type in the number and then choose Timken for the manufacturer and they both come up. ![]() |
