80s deltaa trans swap.

would a over drive trans fin in the place of a non over drive trans? there both 2 door delta 88s?

It depends. The 200-4R WAS factory available in the 1980s B-body cars. The crossmemer is likely different. The G-body cars of that era got a modification to the frame when the 200-4R was released to accommodate the different crossmember location. I don't know if the B-body cars got this mod or not. There is an aftermarket bracket for the G-body cars if the frame does not have this mod. I don't know if this same bracket would also work for the B-body cars.

ok cuz i have a 2 door 84 olds 88 that has an over drive an the car i am getting is a 84 2 door 88 with a non over drive. same year an all i should have all the parts there to just swap them?

Actually, the one thing that will be different is the shift quadrant in the steering column and the gear indicator on the dash. If you use the three speed column, you will not be able to manually select first gear. Maybe that doesn't matter to you. The other column will bolt in.

yea i know of this. i will be swapping every thing over to make it look like it came with over drive. now i just got to wait for some nice days to roll in {:
