TH400 GTO to Cutlass question

Anyone know the differences, if any, between a TH400 that would have been in a GTO versus one in a Cutlass? Am considering purchasing one for my Cutlass that came out of a GTO. Thanks in advance.

The GTO and Cutlass TH400 transmissions will physically interchange. There may be some differences in the shift points or other programming, but the two will interchange.

And what sort of problems, if any, might this present?

For most stock or nearly stock engines, nothing at all. If you had a W-30, for example, the stall speed and shift points of a non-OW trans might be a problem.

Hey...I can sit in the back seat of my Vista Cruiser and look up at the trans in my goat.

Look the same to me.

I'm going to be going with a stock 69 Toro Engine (non w34). Can you, or anyone else, give me an idea of what coded TH400 I should be looking for? Looking in my chassis manual I'm thinking an OD, OG, or OW code would be good.

The GTO trans I was looking at was sold and since I don't need the trans right away (lots of work to do) I'm thinking I'll hold out for an Olds transmission.
