2004r question

Greetings,

Sorry to be a bother. I just dropped in from another forum looking for information regarding the wide open throttle operation of the TH 2004r. I just finished a conversion on my 79 Vette (th350 to th2004r) The transmission works well but, by the very nature of the beast it will not shift from 3rd to 4th at WOT. This is easily remedied on the 700 r4 by using a B&M (70237) WOT kit. One of the self professed experts on the other forum tells me that the WOT kit offered by B&M will work in the 2004r. I talked to B&M and they are unaware of any interchangeability between the two. In fact they said they doubt that it will work!

I have to believe that not everyone with a 200 is running around at 120 miles per hour in 3rd gear! lol

Any feedback on this issue will certainly be appreciated and thanks in advance for any help you might give me!!!

I apologize for the long post.

Ken

Talking

This is a switch! I get to reply to my own post.

After a bit of perseverence I have learned that the B&M 70237 WOT kit DOES work in the 2004r!!! Unfortunately the B&M tech people aren't aware of this!

BUT, Summit says the the kit works in BOTH transmissions.

Thanks for letting me use your forum!!

Regards to all,

Ken
