Hi Keith, I recently purchased a1988 Trofeo convertible with 70K miles on it. As far as I know only 8 were produced by a company in FL called Coach Builders limited. As far as i know they are still able to convert any 86-2002 E body.
They do excelant work.

If i had know sooner there was a 1984 Toronado convertible in Ct , Mint but they wanted $14,000. THe best ones were converten by Hess & Eisenhardt, know for making hearses.

Keep an eye on ebay.good luck hunting
Michael

Toronado Convertibles

Hi Toro,
You may have a very rare car. American Sunroof Corp, now know as American Specialty Car produced all of the GM come back convertibles and most of the Chryslers of the 80s and 90s. I also have a 1948 Pontiac 2000 STE convertible by ASC. They did convert the E body Cadillac Eldorado and Buick Riviera but don’t believe they did any Toronados. I have seen them around but only the ones build by Coach Builders and several hearse fabricators, one being Scoville. If the original title classified it as a convertible it’s probably authorized by GM making it quite rare. If its states coupe it’s just a regular conversion.
http://www.ascglobal.com/ here is a link explaining what ASC now does. They might be able to help you out.
Good luck
Chesler

I'm looking for info on a vehicle which left my family in the early 1990's. I believe it was sold to someone in ND. It's a 1985 Olds Toronado Convertible (Cherry Hill Ed). It was built for the PGA tour. Actually, several were built, not sure of an exact number. They were white with a white top and burgundy leather interior. Any info on the vehicle or how to search for it would be appreciated. I can be reached at 877-848-9683.
