Alternate heads for a 260?
My wife has a 78 Cutlass Brougham, with the stock 260 engine. The 260 has at least one toasted valve.
I have a spare set of #4 heads, from my '67 330, that have less than 200 miles on them since being rebuilt. I am wondering about the feasibilty of replacing the original 260 heads with the 330 heads. Will it work? I'd much rather replace the 260 with a 350, but am hoping the head swap will work long enough to locate a relatively healthy 350. Suggestions / opinions welcome (don't be brutal) ![]() |
